How BDigital works: from design to screen

Updated 17 September 2026

Every BDigital screen follows the same simple path: something to show, somewhere to show it, and a plan for when it plays. Here's how the pieces fit together.

The building blocks

TermWhat it means
DesignA page (or several pages) you build in the designer — text, images, video, shapes and animation. Pick a Landscape, Portrait, Social, Video Wall or Banner format to match your screen.
AssetAn image or video in your media library. Assets can go straight into a playlist without needing a design.
LocationA group of screens, such as “Reception” or “Bar”. Create one before you pair a device.
DeviceA physical BDigital screen player, paired to your account using the code it shows on screen.
PlaylistAn ordered list of designs, images and videos. Each item has its own runtime and transition.
ScheduleWhich playlist plays on which days and between which times.
PushSending a schedule to one or more devices, now or at a set time. The Content Delivery page shows progress.

Your first-run checklist

  1. Create a design in the format that matches your screen, add some text and save it.
  2. Create a location, then pair your device with the code shown on the screen.
  3. Create a playlist and add your design to it.
  4. Create a schedule and add the playlist for the days and times you want.
  5. Push the schedule to your device and watch it go live.
Tip: you can build designs and playlists before your screen arrives. Pairing the device is the only step that needs the hardware powered on and online.
